The American Sign Museum opened in June of 2012 in 19,000 square foot former parachute factory. As a national museum dedicated to the rich and colorful history of signage, the Sign Museum offers a rare chance to experience than history of roadside culture. This small cabin was designed to fit within a forest setting and requires little maintenance.
It received an Honorable Mention Award from AIA Cincinnati CRAN. The Gary Media Center was designed as the centerpiece of a major revitalization effort being carried out by the City of Gary, Indiana. The mix-use project was planed to build on the city's forth-coming fiber optic network to expanding its economic base beyond its historic industrial uses.
The mixed-use facility was to be located in the heart of downtown and will contain a new home for the Gary's Public Television station, a multiplex cinema, shops, restaurants, and the Community Media Technology Center (CMTC). Muller Architects collaborated with Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates to develop the design as well as preliminary economic modeling and implementation planning.
