John Buckley is a registered architect in Massachusetts and New York. He is also a Certified Passive House Designer and happy to focus on deep energy efficiency in buildings. John did his undergraduate studies at Boston College majoring in Philosophy with a concentration in studio arts, particularly ceramics. He continued his education with a Master of Architecture degree at the Rhode Island School of Design.
The bulk of John's experience is in private residential architecture with a smattering of gallery and small restaurant projects. He spent 16 years practicing in New York with various architecture offices. Three firms, Ryall Porter Sheridan Architects, Robert Young Architects and CWB Architects, were important in his development as a practicing architect.
An earlier foray into custom furniture and millwork production with fellow RISD architect graduates has also stuck with him as an important foundation. Between these experiences John was exposed to a rich variety of influences, projects and methods of delivering architecture services.
