Scope: Archival research, forensic investigation, architectural services to move house to county park and restore it for interpretation. Since our founding in 1976, MacDonald & Mack has stayed true to our mission of providing the highest level of stewardship of both buildings and relationships. We're always thinking about the long-term success of the projects we work on and the people we work with.

We treat our employees, collaborators, and clients right, emphasizing respect, clear communication, the smoothest process, and the best end result.
Services
MacDonald & Mack has been a leader and innovator in the historic preservation movement since our founding in 1976.
In our forty-plus years of practice, we've worked on iconic structures across the USA, including more than a dozen National Historic Landmarks and over 500 properties on the National Register of Historic Places.
Our best-known projects include the Estate of President James A. Garfield (Mentor, Ohio), the Minneapolis Municipal Building, Christ Church Lutheran (Minneapolis), the Washburn-Crosby A Mill (Minneapolis), and Old Fort Jackson (Savannah, Georgia).
Our projects give new life to existing structures, to the greater end of helping them endure for future generations.
Doing this successfully, at the highest level, requires a practical, meticulous approach, truly caring about every detail.
These values also inform how we operate day-to-day.
We strive to treat our employees, collaborators, and clients right.
We emphasize respect, support, and a commitment to the smoothest possible process and the best possible end product.
It's why we've kept our office small and our project list selective: to facilitate close-knit, highly functional relationships.
