Our work spans the spectrum from buildings for education, commerce, and culture to custom residences and prototype tiny houses. We work closely with developers to optimize site layout solutions, while also providing the ingredients for vibrant communities and thriving commerce centres.

Victor Sidy Architect is a full-service architectural practice for specialized building and planning projects.
In the fall of 2000, Victor Sidy opened his design practice in an updated 1880's crackerjack loft in historic McKinney, Texas.
Working collaboratively with other artists, architects, engineers, contractors, and developers, the practice celebrated the act of making as the departure point for design.
Subsequently relocating to New York City, designs for education and the arts become core areas of focus, including Montessori school projects in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Texas - a number of which have been built.

Our approach with the adaptive reuse of old buildings is to determine what building elements can be preserved, and which can give way to new, contextually-sensitive design ideas and technologies that might result in a more useful, better-performing building.
In this way, we see these buildings providing evidence of layers of history, each layer contributing its best qualities to our future use and enjoyment.
