MASON Architects is a San Francisco Bay Area architecture firm specializing in high-end hospitality, residential and mixed-use design, master-planning, and custom residences founded by award- winning hospitality industry veteran Peter T. Mason AIA, LEED BD+C, a former principal with Hill Glazier Architects and HKS Hill Glazier Studio. Principal Peter Mason is a former Mayor and Member of the Woodside Town Council.

He also served as chair of the Woodside Architecture and Site Review Board, and on the Portola Valley / Woodside Fire Wise Committee. Peter Mason's years of community service to the Town of Woodside CA, including 4 years on the Architectural and Site Review Board, and 12 years on the Town Council have given him a strong grasp of the requirements for successfully expediting custom home projects through the planning, design approval and public hearing process.

In the Spring of 2020, the Town of Woodside updated its Municipal Code to comply with new State regulations governing Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and Junior ADUs.
Woodside is encouraging ADUs in order to meet its affordable housing needs.
ADUs can be used to house aging parents, adult children, health care aides, domestic helpers etc., and can be rented out, but not for less than 30 days.
An ADU is an attached or detached residential dwelling unit (often referred to as a "granny flat" or guest house).
Adaptive Reuse: Our Client, Geolo Capital purchased the iconic Ventana Inn & Spa in Big Sur, California.
Several years ago I headed up the team that developed the architectural concept design for the new W Muscat.
The project was for OMRAN, the leading developer.
