After working for firms in Boston, New York and Tucson, Tom started his own firm on Lizard Rock Place - thus Lizard Rock Designs was born. Today, Tom is the Principal in Charge of all projects at LRD. He has created an intentionally small firm so that he may be involved in all projects. Tom has over 25 years of experience designing buildings for public and private clients.
Tom studied architecture as an undergraduate at Yale College and received a Masters Degree in Architecture from Harvard University. He is licensed in the State of Arizona and has an NCAARB certification for all 50 states. Tom is a LEED Accredited Professional, a member of the American Institute of Architects, Leading Age and the American Society of Healthcare Engineers.
As a project manager, Minette is responsible for client communication, consultant coordination, drawing and documentation, and assistance through construction administration. Minette's experience has been in commercial, institutional and residential project types.

Civic buildings communicate and celebrate important core values of the communities that build them.
These buildings must be flexible enough to accommodate more than one pattern of use, but lasting enough to satisfy the needs of the community across generations.
LRD Architects has worked for parks departments, environmental agencies and municipal authorities that maintain public infrastructure.
We have designed projects as varied as light rail stations, recycling centers, band shells and comfort stations.

Tom McQuillen and Lizard Rock Designs were the only architect we considered.
He has proven time and again that not only are his designs stellar, he is able to work miracles with neighborhood associations and nonprofit owners alike.
Needless to say, we are pleased with the architectural design and professional services provided on previous projects and welcome the opportunity to work with the LRD team again.
