In 1956, Wilfred Ramos, Sr. founded Suncoast Tile of Tampa, a tile and marble installation company.
Through the firm's reputation for quality and experience, Suncoast grew to serve clients throughout Florida and the Southeast. Over the years, Wilfred forged partnerships with numerous European tile and stone producers and with the Italian Trade Commission to expand the company's material offerings for clients, helping to give the firm a competitive edge.
Mr. Ramos was well known for his experience, knowledge, and considered an expert within the stone industry. He constantly sought to develop the trade and its resources, which drove his founding of the Ceramic Tile Association of Florida, with the primary mission to improve the flooring industry.
