As the son of a Japanese gardener and grandson of a walnut farmer, Eugene's appreciation for the relationship between man and nature was formed at an early age, and greatly influenced his architectural philosophy.
Eugene now delights in nurturing the careers of aspiring young architects in his firm nearly as much as he enjoys designing buildings for clients.
