The story begins in 1938 when Rocco Fiore, Sr., journeyed to America to work for his uncle, Charles Fiore, at the family nursery.
Working initially out of his home in Highland Park, Rocco brought time honored values and old world craftsmanship to the job every day and the business grew.
In 1960, the company purchased a five-acre parcel and moved to its current headquarters in Libertyville, Illinois, from where its design, construction and maintenance operations reside.
In 1972, the "family" business grew when Rocco's eldest son, Rocco Jr., joined to help manage the company.

Rocco V. Fiore is a 1972 graduate of the University of Wisconsin where he earned a degree in business with a minor in landscape architecture.
In addition to growing and managing the company for nearly 40 years, Rocco has been actively involved in the landscape industry.
In an effort to raise professional standards, he played a key role in the establishment of legislation for the State of Illinois Certified Landscape Technician's Board (CLT).
He then served as one of the first judges for the CLT testing in Illinois.
