Starting from a one-man home office in 1989, the firm has grown to a team of seven professionals with offices overlooking the Ipswich River. In these years, projects have ranged from town hall restoration and new restaurants to homes and small porch additions. Although most of our work is local, we have projects spanning from Maine to Michigan. All projects, large and small, are equally important to us and receive our full and continuous attention to detail.

Ken founded Savoie Architecture in 1989. He launched the firm out of his home, while simultaneously heading off a complete renovation and addition to his Carpenter Gothic style residence. This set the tone for the firm's primary focus on residential work, grounded in hands-on construction experience and appreciation for practical and affordable solutions.

Through the years he has also developed an extensive portfolio of commercial and institutional projects that include town hall renovations, restaurants, offices and even industrial buildings.
Services
As much as we like starting from scratch to make each and every project completely unique, we understand that not everyone can afford the time and expense to go through this process.
Our response to this challenge was to create a library of existing designs that can be easily modified to suit different needs and site conditions.
Through this Hybrid Design Process, you can select the style and major features that you would like incorporated into your home.
From here we will work together to make minor modifications in order to fine tune the design to your liking.
Savoie Nolan Architecture, specifically Ken Savoie and John Fennell, designed the major renovation (essentially a complete interior gut with a 2nd floor addition) of our Ipswich home.
Not only did they do a wonderful job, but they did it very efficiently, coming in under the architectural services estimate.
They did this by listening carefully and thoughtfully to our ideas, preferences and family needs.
Our home is just under 1500 square feet so every inch had to be usable/functional space, and it is.
