Mr. Carter has spent thirty years developing his business philosophy. We at "Carter Architecture" believe that if the Owner, Architect, General Contractor and Engineers are allied and work together, as a team, that any project will be a greater success - aesthetically, functionally, and financially.
This is the hallmark of our approach to each project. We know what we are doing. We have demonstrated our capabilities to the DeLand community for the past 30 years. We feel that we have enriched the built environment of West-Volusia and stand ready to continue doing so in the future. Over the years I have come to really appreciate Jack Carter's skill set and abilities as an architect.
He has proven to be a deft negotiator while remaining firm in his own personal convictions for being honest and doing the right thing. His insight and problem solving across a wide genera of issues has resulted in remarkable success.

In July of 1994, Mr. Lemmen left the firm to return to his home state of New York.
At that time, the name of the corporation was changed to John Stoudenmire Carter Architect, P.A. and then Mr. Carter assumed all responsibilities of the firm.
In May of 1996, John Stoudenmire Carter Architect, P.A. was relocated to its current address in DeLand, Florida.
