Architectural Stone Sales, Inc. is an Indiana Corporation formed in 1971, that was previously known as Bedford Cut Stone. Architectural Stone Sales is the combination of several predecessor corporations all devoted to the production of dimensional Indiana Limestone, owned and operated by members of the Evans family. In the decades of its existence, Architectural Stone Sales, Inc. has developed a reputation for dependable quality in workmanship and materials.

Indiana Limestone is used in projects which have high visibility and architectural importance, therefore the assurance of quality is especially important. Our list of long time customers testifies the value of this aspect. We find it equally important to honor the commitments made to every customer. Architectural Stone Sales, Inc. employs approximately thirty five persons, in addition to Evans family members.

Of these, five are office and drafting personnel. The balance is skilled workers in various stone trades, laborers and equipment operators.
Services
Even prior to Indiana's admission to the Union in 1816, a light-colored, fine-grained native stone had been used by pioneer settlers for cabin foundations, door sills, milling burrs, and memorials.
The stone was quarried with use of long star drills and wedges to separate blocks from the main deposit.
The first organized quarrying effort of record was established in 1827 in southern Indiana near Stinesville.
Concurrent with the arrival of both North-South and East-West railroads into southern Indiana in the mid 19th century, the market for Indiana Limestone responded to architectural demand for stone of a light-neutral color to complement the various Revival styles of the era.
