Through the 1970's and 1980's, Brice-Morris successfully completed institutional, medical, office, and public building projects throughout the southeastern United States, including several high rise buildings in downtown Charlotte. In 1998, Ralph Brice retired from the firm, and Todd Berg, AIA returned to the firm where he first worked to become a Principal and Owner, bringing years of experience in the design of educational facilities back to the firm.

At that time, the name of the firm changed to Morris-Berg Architects to reflect the transition in ownership, and the focus of the firm shifted to educational facilities and other institutional projects. The firm transitioned once again when Keith Morris passed away unexpectedly in 2013, and Todd Berg became managing Principal of the firm. In 2015, Morris-Berg Architects was named "Firm of the Year" by AIA Charlotte in recognition of our contributions to design, community service, and service to the profession.
