Landow and Landow Architects is an award winning architectural and interiors firm originally founded in 1922 by Abraham Landow, who was joined in 1960 by his son Lloyd J. Landow. Now led by its third generation principals, Robin Landow Levitin, Marc J. Landow, and Glen J. Landow, the firm continues to build on its reputation for creativity, innovation, superior personal service, and a businesslike approach that respects clients' long-term goals, time considerations, and budgets.
Abraham Landow received his degree in architecture from The Cooper Union in 1922. Upon Graduation, he found the major architectural firms too busy to train recent graduates. He was fortunate in finding a mentor, and within a year's time had opened his own firm, specializing in residential work. By 1926, he had already completed several six-story apartment houses in Brooklyn and developed a very successful practice involving multi-family residential work, institutional buildings, and townhouses.
He maintained offices first in Brooklyn and then moved to Manhattan.
