Gregg K. Kawahara Architect is a traditional full-service architectural firm founded in 2000. As a sole proprietorship, all phases of a project receive Gregg's individual attention and experience from the initial meetings to construction completion. Architectural services include feasibility studies, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, design review approvals, and land planning.
The firm specializes in custom homes, residential additions and remodels, production housing, commercial buildings, and tenant improvements. Gregg received a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and spent a year of foreign study at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen.
Following university studies, Gregg worked as an apprentice carpenter for a Central Coast custom home builder, and then worked as an architect at a large firm where he gained a broad background in land planning, planned communities, production housing and custom homes.
