Our team at Jones Whitsett Architects shares a love of old buildings but also a passion to design new buildings that will inspire and endure for generations. We work in a studio focused on education, shelter and civic architecture because we want to have a positive influence on the place we live. Our concern for the well-being of our neighbors drives us towards a practice that balances short-term and long-term impacts, including costs measured in energy, water and land use.
We actively commit to the professional standards of the AIA, including the Frameworks for Design Excellence and the 2030 Challenge for Carbon-Neutrality. We are a diverse team with a strong sense of place, from the winding curves of the Connecticut River to the silhouettes of the Berkshire Mountains. We are proud that our work is directly influenced by a region rich in ecology, agriculture and industrial history.
We engage with building science on every project, and incorporate fresh air, daylight, good acoustic design, natural materials and a healthy landscape in all of our work.
