Founder and Principal Architect, Mike Tinsley, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mike has practiced architecture since 1994, and as a licensed architect in California, he has exclusively practiced residential design in the Bay Area and on the Central Coast. Mike is also an accomplished artist in watercolor and graphite and digital art.
He and his wife, Marlane, live in Capitola, California and have two children, daughter, Ell and son, Scott, who are both NCAA college athletes in Southern California. When not in the stands cheering for their favorite athletes, they can be found enjoying the beautiful Monterey Bay area on trails, bikes, paddle boards, camping, or from the comfort of their beach chairs.
Practicing architecture since 1994, Mike's dream for Studio 528 Art and Architecture is that it will be a place where art skills and architecture experience and best practices will combine to uniquely bring the client's story of home to life.

Services
In the heart of Silicon Valley, this home belongs to a growing family who needed functional spaces.
The inspiration for the design throughout featured beautiful clean lines that complement and enhance the double-volume living spaces that were a must for this family.
In order to make 3,300 square feet flex to the needs of six active people, all the downstairs spaces were created to multitask, leaving the upstairs to accommodate private living spaces.
To ensure maximum functionality of the entire lot, the back of the house was designed to give easy access to the backyard.
