Our three-word design philosophy encompasses our firm's mission to actively listen; test ideas with imaginative design and to view the solution through the lens of how it is best realized for each individual client. Our process is engaging, collaborative and professional. KG+D has been in practice in Mount Kisco, NY for 26 years-founded as Kaeyer, Garment + Davidson in 1994, the firm has built upon a well-established legacy of more than 85 years of superior services to school clients throughout the Hudson Valley region.

The firm is led by principals and owners Russell Davidson FAIA, Walter Hauser AIA, Erik Kaeyer AIA LEED AP, Sarah W. Dirsa AIA LEED AP NOMA, Brian O. Mangan AIA, and Travis S. Schnell AIA. The six principals provide a diverse and well-balanced collection of skills, professional experience and leadership qualities that ensure a continuity of expertise across all planning and project phases for every type of project and design challenge.

Every project in our office is lead directly and actively by one or more principals.

In addition to our in-house team, KG+D works with a regular group of specialty sub-consultants that complement and function as an extension of the KG+D team.

The Rippowam Cisqua School is an independent school serving over 400 students from Pre-K to Grade 9.
The Upper Campus, located in Bedford, NY, was established in 1917 and moved to its current address in 1927.

The Eagle Hill School is an independent school committed to educating children with language-based learning disabilities.
Founded in 1975, the school serves 260 students ages 5-15 on the grounds of the former Marjorie Merriweather Post Estate.
