Dunwody/Beeland, Architects, Inc. is among the oldest architectural firms in the State of Georgia. Founded in 1915 by W. Elliott Dunwody, Jr., this professional office today boasts of a multi-disciplinary practice perpetuated by the late Mr. Dunwody's direct heirs and others. It has been incorporated since 1968 as a "C" corporation.
In its early years, the practice was primarily residential, small commercial, and religious, but it has steadily grown to encompass all types of architectural design ranging from small offices to large complexes on multi-acre sites.The firm also concentrates on work in the historic, educational, medical, and industrial sectors. The architects at Dunwody/Beeland, Architects, Inc. have over 100 years of cumulative experience in designing and overseeing the rehabilitation of historical buildings.
This experience includes the rehabilitation and modernization of buildings for their original design use as well as adapting the structures for a new and higher use.

Mr. Dunwody, Jr., graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture.
He is registered to practice in the State of Georgia.
Mr. Dunwody, Jr. has been the lead designer of numerous projects including the Arts & Sciences Classroom at Central Georgia Technical College and the Crisp County Campus of South Georgia Technical Institute.
He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is Past-President of the Middle Georgia Chapter.
He has been a Trustee and President of the Macon Heritage Foundation.
He is registered to practice in the State of Georgia.
