The firm, IMT Architecture + Design, LLC, was established in 2011 to provide full architectural services to a wide clientele with special emphasis on sport facilities, healthcare, educational and research facilities. The firm currently holds the State of Maryland DBE/MBE certification and Commonwealth of Virginia SWaM certification. Chun-Fa Tan received the bachelor degree in architecture from Feng-Chia University in Taiwan.
He has extensive experience in new, addition and renovation projects that span a wide variety of project types in healthcare, education, research, campus planning and housing arenas. He takes pride in the quality of the projects in which he has been involved. When he was the Senior Project Architect/Manager with Hord Coplan Macht, he was instrumental in the planning, design and execution of the new Regional Medical Center of Western Maryland Health System.
His healthcare projects won several design awards in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic regions which include Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey, South Shore Hospital in Massachusetts and design study of Monarch Mobile Hospital received the Honor Award in the AIA Maryland Chapter 2010 Design Awards.
