The design process may take the form of creating a detailed landscape plan with supporting construction details, specifications, and plant lists that goes out for bid.
The design process takes time and careful planning.
It is essential for creating a unique and inviting layout and style for your garden.
Initial Meeting: I'll meet with you to discuss your "wish list" (walkways, patio, retaining walls, perennial border, decorative fencing, etc.), and walk your site to assess the scope of your project.
Design Proposal: Next I'll send you a proposal estimating how much time will be required to create a landscape plan that addresses your wishes.
Base Map Preparation: A base map will be prepared for your project working with any information you may have such as a property survey and/or architectural drawings.
It is essential for creating a unique and inviting layout and style for your garden.

If rainfall is insufficient, you'll need to water, especially newly planted materials.
Give plants a thorough soaking once a week, rather than frequent, light watering.
Avoid watering late in the day.
Plantings beneath mature trees, especially maples, will be in dry zones and may require extra watering.
Keep grass long (3) to discourage weeds, encourage a strong root system and reduce noise & air pollution.
Remove only 1/3 of a growing grass blade at each mowing.
