We believe architecture and design profoundly shape the human experience, and we feel privileged to be involved in it, excited by its challenges, and love every minute of its collaborative and dynamic process. We believe in every project, because we won't take it on unless we do. We accept your challenge with a solemn pledge to invest our talents - heart, mind and spirit - into intelligent, authentic, artful and purposeful design solutions.
We believe in every client, because we look for mission driven clients whose goals align with ours. We search for common ground, depend on honest exchange of ideas and information, listen closely to hear a dream, and share the joy of goals realized in shared inspiration. We believe that place is fundamental to the character and outcome of a project, the cultural marrow from the inside that will direct design on the outside, reflecting the culture and true spirit of the place, and of its place in the community.
Your place, uniquely.

Our history is steeped in play.
It outlines the arc of our professional path and defines the character of our practice.
Since 1989, with an introduction into the world of children's museums, a great part of our work has been exploring the power of play in the lives of children and families.
That past informs our present.
How all people play, learn, enjoy and grow is what our practice is all about.
How we got to now is partly told in the illustrations below.
It's where we came from, and a telltale of where we will go.

Reb is the founder of Haizlip Studio and principal in charge of design.
Convinced early that the things we build powerfully affect the quality of life and success of communities, Reb has focused his and the firm's work on creating places that open minds, connect people with ideas, and light up smiles.
In the last twenty years, he has directed work on a fascinating variety of museum, educational, entertainment, civic and non-profit projects across the country and internationally.
Many of these projects have been environments for children and families, for which Reb is a noted and gifted designer.
