Scott knew his heart was in Colorado with his family, so after graduating he and his wife packed up their Jeep and headed home. In 2002 he decided to start his own firm. After many hours at the dining table, a name was born. To him the nest is a symbol of simplicity and complexity, nothing can be removed without upsetting the composition, nothing is superfluous, it represents a perfect Place, safe and comforting, a place you want be.
Scott is also a Denver native and has been in the Nest since 2008. He attended Bucknell University where he earned a BA in Biology and returned to Colorado for his Masters of Architecture at the University of Colorado. He has studied abroad in London, Rotterdam, Berlin and Capetown. Somehow he managed to find time to guide fly-fishing trips in Vail and spend a season in Jackson Hole as a highly skilled rental ski technician bum.
Scott deftly oversees all phases of projects, from generating concepts to guiding homeowners through construction to ensure that the integrity of the design is upheld.
