AOS works is a Los Angeles based architecture studio founded by Alex Solbes. AOS works is firmly rooted in the belief that architecture is the art of crafting structures and spaces that engage the human spirit. The needs of the client and the nuances of each program and site inform the ultimate design response which liberates each project from any standard design aesthetic or movement.
The careful selection and use of materials, manipulation of light, forming of space and application of texture are the principle driving forces that inspire each design composition. Additionally, the integration of environmentally responsible materials and methods as well as the motivation to seek innovative design solutions impact the whole of AOS works.
Alex Solbes, a licensed architect in California, graduated from California State Polytechnic University Pomona, in 1999. After completing his formal educaiton, he worked at several notable architecture firms throughout the Los Angeles area before starting his own practice.
