A new food and drink establishment in the ultra-modern One Santa Fe building, Westbound differentiates itself by looking back to the golden age of rail travel. At nearly 2,000 S.F. Hamilton Architects (with creative input by Studio Collective) creates a warm and intimate destination in an oversized housing block. Hanjip Restaurant is the result of a collaboration between Stephane Bombet (Viviane, Faith and Flower, Picca) and Chris Oh (Seoul Sausage Company, and winner of TV's Knife Fight and Cutthroat Kitchen).
Opened in late 2015. Listed on several food blogs as one of LA's hottest restaurants. Our traditional clients wanted a "to the studs" remodel of their 1940's single story stucco box to be elegant and modern. We left all but a wall and created this 2 story classic home. The minimal palette combined with elegant architecture gives the home a stately but modern feel.
An entertainer's dream while at 2500 SF, this wood-warmed Modern home on Superba makes the most of its 3300 SF lot. Glass walls of Fleetwood doors invite the outdoors inside and beautifully tie the expansive mahogany wood deck and the open living floorplan on the ground level, essentially widening the living area.
