Since 1982 Kreysler & Associates has been leading the way in the use of composite materials in construction. Born out of the high-performance boat industry, the company was founded to bring marine grade materials and techniques to construction. What started as a modest venture has become an internationally recognized enterprise known for its innovation, creativity, and craftsmanship.

With two complete fabrication facilities at the northeastern edge of San Francisco Bay, we continue to lead the way in bringing advanced materials, fabrication, and project management techniques to our customers, large or small.
Services
Our Green Island Road facility has been our home since 2000.
It consists of a 3,250 m2 (35,000 ft2 ) covered fabrication area and 4 acres of laydown area and is home to our research and development laboratory.
This facility is optimized for one-of-a-kind or limited production projects ranging from sculpture and unique contemporary architecture, all the way to Lloyds Registery certified composite submarine pressure hulls.
Under this roof, we have produced most of our projects known worldwide for innovation, quality, and 21st Century craftsmanship.
In all of our dealings with Bill Kreysler and his firm, we have found them to be technically competent, reliable and ethical.
They stay abreast of technical advances in their field, and they work hard to provide us with an exceptional level of service.
William Kreysler & Associates have proven to be a firm of high integrity.
Their work has always been completed on schedule and within budget, with the same attention to quality throughout all phases of the projects.
The design, fabrication, installation and follow-up activities were performed in an impeccable manner and on time.
FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) includes hundreds of combinations of fiber, polymer and processes.
This versatility is what makes composites unique.
On the other hand, it's often difficult to decide what fiber, resin and process is best for a given application.
Because FRP is strong, durable, and light-weight it often has advantages over stone, bronze, steel, and other conventional materials.
Its ability to be economically molded into complex shapes offers other unique advantages.
FRP is the contemporary alternative providing designers with new and unprecedented freedom from material constraints.
Sustainability is a popular and important issue facing designers, builders and building owners.
Recent developments have shown that programs such as LEEDS assessments do not always reveal the correct or best decisions about material selection or building strategies.
The more appropriate but also more rigorous method is "Life Cycle Assessment" or LCA's where a material's total, cradle to grave environmental impact is compared to an alternative.
These exercises are complicated and project specific.
When FRP is fabricated well, in the right environment to ensure its quality, and used appropriately, FRP can last many decades.
When not designed and fabricated properly, deterioration and failure can happen quickly.
FRP is often chosen specifically because of its resilience, imperviousness to moisture, and resistance to corrosion.
Some testing has been done and is available, although since most of the use of FRP since its invention has been in non-architectural industries, such is the focus of much of the testing.
