Marshall Paetzel Landscape Architecture, PC was founded by Stacy Paetzel, a New York State Registered Landscape Architect.
Ms. Paetzel is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the US Green Building Association.
Currently Ms. Paetzel is active as co-chair of the Parrish Art Museum's annual Landscape Pleasures symposium.
An active member of the design community, Ms. Paetzel organized review sessions and taught courses to assist up-and-coming landscape architects obtain licensure.

MPLA begins each project by first establishing the client's program, and then performing a detailed analysis of the site.
As these two tasks are accomplished, a vision emerges that blends the clients' personal style with the intended use of the space.
The vision is then refined with input from the client and attention to even the smallest details.
The result is a functional and aesthetically pleasing design that incorporates the natural beauty of the existing landscape.

Each design is proceeded by a visit to the site by the entire team.
In addition to photographing the site and taking inventory of existing conditions, we discuss the design program and begin to formulate possible solutions.
Immediately after the team site visit, we have an in-office design charette, where each member of the design team has the opportunity to present their ideas and explore them as a group.
It is during this brainstorming session that the design begins to emerge.
We then begin to explore the most exciting ideas through intensive sketching, careful measurement, and research.
