From planned city projects to custom single family residences, Julian has expertise in projects varied in scope, scale and location.

Julian is the founder of blank design, an architecture practice specializing in residential and commercial projects, which aims to elevate the quality of the built environment through close collaboration with clients and thoughtful methods of practice.A driving principle is the belief that every project begins free of assumptions and is deserving of a bespoke solution, based upon specific variables found in every project that are unique, to meet the needs of current and future stakeholders.

Certain aspects of design are innate and absolute, others are variable and contextual, but every project is unique. Prior to founding blank design studio, Julian served for two years as Principal and Partner at Pattern r+d, a high performance building analytics and architecture firm.
