Services
We are a small business, with Tim (the owner) carefully overseeing the completion of your product from drawings to delivery.
Every piece that leaves Tri-Stone, has been hand-finished, and inspected by Tim.
This ensures high quality, personal care, and a hassle-free experience.
For the masons who are anxious to get to work, we give prompt and thorough quotes, as well as short and reliable lead times.
Tim was a mason for years, so he understands what needs to be done to make it a very pleasant experience.
Choosing what material to use for your countertops doesn't have to be difficult.
There are four main things to take into consideration: the cost, visual appeal, maintenance, and durability of our cast stone countertops.
One of the advantages of using cast stone countertops, is that they are completely customizable.
They can be any color and shape.
Special aggregates can be added like crushed glass, beads, and shells.
The edges can be shaped into a square, radius, bullnose, or bevel.
The finishes you can choose from are: trowel (smooth), ground (aggregates are exposed), and pressed (marble veining is exposed).
From the time you order a shower base, to the time you have it in your home, is approximately 3 to 4 weeks.
To get started, we need the dimensions of your shower area.
Typical dimensions are 36" x 48".
We will make an architect's drawing with your specifications, and send it to you for your approval.
Also, you get your choice of different polishes and colors.
We will mail you samples from which to choose your favorite.
Once we have your selection finalized, we begin the manufacturing process.
See the slide show below for the steps involved.
Put simply, cast stone is a propietary blend of fine and coarse aggregates, white portland cement, and admixtures used to manufacture high quality stone products.
Because molds are used to make the stone pieces, each piece will be identical to the mold and to all the other pieces from that mold.
Therefore, it is generally more consistent than limestone.
Additionally, if you ever need another piece down the road, it can quickly and cost-effectively be produced using the same mold.
It is less expensive to produce many of the same extremely detailed pieces using molds, than by chiseling it.
